Othello, a Moorish commander, is tricked into believing that his new bride, Desdemona, has been having an affair with his lieutenant, Michael Cassio, but this is all part of a plot hatched by resentful ensign Iago. Live filming was done specifically for the big screen at London’s Theatre Royal Haymarket.
